Quote without comment

... nuclear currently provides 75% of France’s electricity, supporting a 90% non-fossil grid, all without advanced batteries or [s]chedulable BEV charging. California is proposing to move to a renewable-rich grid (a 50 or 55% non-fossil grid), over a couple of decades, only to be 5 times dirtier than today’s French grid.
This is fraudulent environmentalism, and should be condemned in the harshest terms.

Hi there. This is totally off topic, but I seem to recall reading in comments around the web that you've asked about continuous biochar making systems. They exist and some of them are quite sophisticated. Have a look at this rig: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cE422XrOn00

That system is well beyond my own needs and budget. I've been thinking of lower tech ways to make char continuously since making it in batches is rather labor intensive. Currently my idea is to build a top-lit updraft system with the fuel resting above a bed of charcoal that can be removed gradually from the bottom with an auger as the pyrolyzing fuel burns down. This should allow me to add more fuel to the top to keep the reaction going.

Should a system like the one in the linked video come into my means, I'd start thinking about things like getting the system to run on its own power, or using the exhaust gas to heat a greenhouse and CO2 fertilize its atmosphere.
