True. Kids need to know how to analyse information objectively and comprehensively. They need to know how to process information, and where to get it. Aside some compulsory base knowledge, kids can pick their own specializations early on.
I think we should make energy analysis obligatory as a course. It is too important to be left out of elementary and high schools.
